So what do mom and dad do after the kids are in bed at night? Guitar hero, of course!

Trey buddy

Can you tell I'm trying to make up from almost a week without my computer? It "crashed" but Dave was able to save all our important stuff and restart the computer so the virus is gone. PTL!

So this was today-
Mom: Trey, you are smarter than the average bear.
Trey: AND the average cucumber because the cucumber is past the bear!

Grandpa is perplexed

I don't think my dad liked our rules. He said they were too confusing. Oh well, when in Rome...

Little miss bossy

Lexi was on Nana's team and those two together are a riot! Alexis kept telling Sue what to play. "Now play this one" "Go ahead, you can do it" "Do you understand now?" "No, not there, play this one over there because it's more points" "Yes! Good choice Nana"

Dominoes!

Leah of course slept through this part of her party. Alexis and Trey had so much fun playing with Grandpa and Grandma and Nana (and me). Trey was counting the extras and had just told us he had 30. Then grandpa needed two so he announced "Now I have 28!"

Leah's birthday party

We were finally able to have Leah's party on Friday night. She was well and the grandparents all came and stayed for a rousing game of dominos! Lexi was totally bummed that Shelby was sick so the Fick's couldn't come:( We had cupcakes and Leah was hilarious. She looked around like are you sure I can have this and why is everyone staring at me?! But she finally tried it and loved it!

It's my party and I'll cry...

Happy birthday to Leah! She has been sick for two days but today woke up without a fever. Yeah! However, as anyone who has children knows, the next day is worse because they feel just good enough to be grumpy. Unfortunately, she cried for an hour and a half before I finally just put her back in bed. Poor thing has been super tired today. Luckily, she doesn't know it's her birthday! By her party on Friday she'll be back to her sweet smiling self. We'll plan on that:)
