Dear Self,
I am very proud of your huge accomplishment of running 6 miles. Without stopping. This is the farthest you have ever run without the help of your husband.
You didn't stop running even when you thought your glutes were going to wiggle themselves painfully right off your bottom after all those lunges you did last week. Or when you had to pull over to cough up junk from the lung infection you are recovering from. Or when you were sure you were being followed and turned around to realize you were hearing the sound of your hat rubbing against your hair.
I promise not to tell anyone how you shouted Hallelujah to yourself when you looked down and saw your pink water bottle laying in the grass on the side of the road that you figured your husband must have driven out and dropped for you. And then you remembered YOU dropped that bottle there on your way out of town.
I am happy that you are starting to see some positive signs of your commitment to being healthy. Like your loose jeans. Not your skinny jeans that hang on your wall and stare at you. And taunt you every morning about how you haven't fit into them in over a year. That day will come but for now, your clothes are starting to feel loose and that is quite the wonderful feeling.
Keep up the good work!
Feeling Very Proud of Yourself,
Leisha
