A Tale of Two Strawberry Pickers

Last year I travelled home from Ohio with my sister Kris and her children. We stopped at a strawberry patch as I had never been picking before in my life. It was a great experience and we hauled several bags of yummy strawberries all the way to Iowa. Rebecca was my pickin' buddy.

This year, when we were in North Carolina, it was strawberry season again! We decided to go the very first day we were there. Rebecca was my pickin' partner.

The day before we got there, Jim had mentioned he was going to bring strawberries home on his way home from work. But he didn't have any money. So when we went the next day and bought 4 flats of berries, Laura told Kris she better call and tell him not to buy any. Well she didn't. The next thing we knew, Jim brought home two flats of beautiful strawberries! Boy did we have alot of berries in that house! The homemade shortcake was wonderful and there were several bags in the freezer by the time we left. They will remember our wonderful day for months to come when they pull those delicious strawberries out of the freezer.
