Little #4

This is the scene I can see as I sit at my computer (which is why it's fuzzy, I took it through the screen). It never ceases to amaze me the difference between my children. Although #2 would have done the same thing at this age, I NEVER could have left #3 there by himself. He would have been (and was) on the railroad tracks, over at the grain elevator, and 3/4 of the way across the field next to our house on his way to the neighbor's. Leah is not exactly sitting still as a statue. She's running the cars along the porch, swinging her feet and talking the entire time. But she is definitely not wandering away. As I look forward to summer and sitting at (endless) baseball games, I am reminded of Zach's games with my little daughter peacefully playing next to me. She would wander to the end of the bleachers and back but overall I could watch her and the game at the same time. Not so when #3 came along. I turned my head and he was off like a shot. Mostly over to the play equipment. Needless to say, I didn't see much baseball that year. It has gotten considerably better because they are old enough now to play by themselves. But this year I will , once again, have a one-year-old at the park. Leah is more like her brothers in that she LOVES to be outside so this summer will be fun for her.
