Sat. morning, we started our day with breakfast at 6 (uggghh). By 7, we were on our way to Palisades State Park where we did a five mile hike in the woods to find 13 different checkpoints. We ended up finding all but 2 because we ran out of time and didn't want to miss the bus. It was really good practice on the navigation we had learned the night before. The terrain is really hilly and rocky there so it was quite a hike. One of the checkpoints was straight up a cliff. I felt like I should have been a mountain goat:)
